The MG 4 represents the first new electric car based on the MSP variable architecture platform, which was specially developed to provide several advantages, including flexibility, good use of space, reduced weight, and acceptance of modern technologies.

The new platform supports models of several categories, including sedan, hatchback, van, and SUV, with a length between 2.65 meters and 3.10 meters, and it also receives batteries with a capacity ranging between 40 and 150 kilowatt-hours.

The MG4 batteries come in an interesting One Pack design with longer life and better thermal efficiency as they are supported by the cooling system.


MG cooperates with Egyptian authorities to provide new services

The new MG4 is one of the electric cars scheduled to be operated to serve citizens and those who frequent the New Administrative Capital, as the Ministry of Transport had announced the start of its operation to and from the New Capital. 10 electric cars “taxis” will be operated experimentally as a first phase out of a total number of 145 electric cars that will be operated. They will be operated successively, including 85 MG4 cars.

The Ministry added that car reservations will be available through the smart mobile phone application, which is scheduled to be launched on the first day of operation of the car, and the car has the ability to pay in two ways: either by credit card or cash.

There is also a hotline 19157 to receive complaints and passenger suggestions. In terms of passenger safety, the cars are monitored with electronic cameras from inside and outside, GPS devices, and are in constant contact with the central control room within the Arab Union Company (Super Jet).

It is noteworthy that the new car will join the rest of the current MG family, which consists of 4 cars: MG 5, MG 6, MG RX5, and MG ZS.
